March is Maple Month in New Hampshire. In the spirit of this sweet season, try this Sausage Penne recipe, made with our Kanc Country Maple Porter.
INGREDIENTS
1lb Sausage
1/2 pint grape tomatoes
1/2 bunch of asparagus, cut into 2 inch pieces
1 1/2 lb. penne pasta
1 TBSP garlic, diced
1/2 cup Kanc Country Maple Porter
2 TBSP Butter
1 bunch of scallions, diced
Parmesan cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
- Crumble sausage into frying pan until browned.
- Add asparagus and after 1-2 minutes, add grape tomatoes and garlic until garlic is cooked.
- Deglaze with Maple Porter and add butter until blended.
- Toss with cooked penne pasta.
- Garnish with scallions and parmesan cheese.
Serves 4.

March is a month-long celebration of NH’s great maple tradition. There are 350+ maple producers in the state and the NH Maple Producers Association encourages people to get out and “support your local sugarhouses and the sugaring tradition.”
